Last night, I had the privilege of attending the quarterly online meet up of the apidays Women in APIs group.
About a dozen women who work with, in and around APIs attended (there were two sessions available, depending on your time zone). Attendees came from all over the world, from Finland to Spain, from France to the UK. I was the only attendee from Oceania.
I joined a chat with Alex, an API product manager currently working with Twilio. Their API docs are famous in dev docs circles, so it was exciting to connect with someone who works so closely with the development team. Alex is all about promoting APIs as a product, and helping customers to realise their value through the way in which they are implemented and used.
Monetisation of APIs was a subject that Gabriela, a product manager from Visma Nmbrs was passionate about.
